The Bulgarian hail suppression system was set up as a structure of the Ministry of Agriculture on 30.04.1968 by Decision № 175 of the Council of Ministers the Hail Suppression Service was set up. Subsequently it was reorganized to Hail Suppression Directorate. Gradually hail suppression units were built in the regions where hail damages have turned out to be the strongest.
The Hail suppression agency has used anti-hail rockets produced by Stroyproject Ltd for more than 10 years. Furthermore since 2021 Stroyproject has been executing hail suppression program in North Bulgaria. The project protects 270 000 ha using 3 airplanes owned by Stroyproject Ltd and pyrotechnical flares produced by our company.
