Ground based cloud seeding
Ground generators are used in the presence of mountain ranges and air flow is required. The principle is to create an area of seeding in the ground layer, which is delivered in the cloud by the updraft air flow. In cross-country the use of this method is the only possible option, under appropriate conditions it can be more economical than rocket and airplane methods. The advantage of this method is that it is inexpensive to maintain, does not require highly qualified personnel to work with generators, does not require airspace coordination control.
