Aerial Cloud Seeding
Stroyproject Ltd owns 3 Beechcraft King Air 90, specially modified for weather modification operations by our team which designed, produced and certified the equipment, according to EASA standards. Our planes fly at a height of up to 10 km. at negative air temperatures, which currently has no analogue in Europe.
The two main products are burn in place (BIP) flares that are fixed in a rack installed on the wings of the aircraft. The others are ejectable pyrogenerator flares held in a cassette mounted on the fuselage of the aircraft that are ejected downwards during flight. Both types of flares are produced by Stroyproject Ltd. – BIP flares ”Loza-150” and ejectable flares “Loza-30”. Both products are absolutely safe and environmentally friendly.
The methodology used for hail suppression through cloud seeding has been scientifically proven. It includes delivering the specific doses of those agents which actually stimulates early rainout or mitigates the damage caused by hailstones as it restricts their growth through beneficial competition. Among its many advantages compared to other methods of cloud seeding is the small number of operating staff, precision in the distribution of the agent at the right time and place and finally, a very reduced influence over air traffic and civil aviation.
The company has been investing in the development of a Single Control Center for Weather Monitoring and Impacting from which weather modification operations can be conducted anywhere in the world.
For the past three years Stroyproject Ltd. expand into providing hail protection services for territory of 30 000 km2, on which there are no anti-hail rocket launching sites and signed a long term contract with the Bulgarian Hail Suppression Agency to the Ministry of Agriculture. For the past three years our company was invited to participate with its airplanes, meteorologists and pilots to an experimental project for rain enhancement in the territory of Romania as the results of this experiment are very encouraging.
